regarding capes
if i were a superhero, i would not have a cape. no way!
have you seen the incredibles? capes can be very dangerous, especially if you don't have much experience with them. they can get caught places and be a large hinderance. so, no cape for me!
besides i don't need a cape to fight off the evil gang of hoola hoops!

you have made a very good point re: capes. i have in fact seen the incredibles. perhaps you could paint the back of your superhero shirt to look like a cape...
